Gumbo

I’ve done my best to avoid using “Gumbo” as my subject heading however, this week my brain just wouldn’t work around it.  First, I need to apologize to Paul for stealing it from his podcast (if you don’t know the reference here either look back at my 16 May post or ask me and I’ll send it to you).  Second, my thoughts go out to those in Gulf Coast states who were caught in the path of Hurricane Laura this past week.  On a lighter note: I was having a conversation with a client this past week whose daughter, also a client, is named Laura.  We both agreed that she (daughter and hurricane) are forces to be reckoned with.

This week I don’t have one theme, but have instead put together a “Gumbo” of different paths for you.  Below are articles on the benefits of music to your mind and body; a “different” back-to-school list; back to work and pet anxiety; and, of course, how could I NOT include a recipe for gumbo if it is my theme?  I hope you enjoy!

Whether you're singing, dancing, or listening to your favorite playlist, music is good for your mind and your body:  https://www.aarp.org/health/brain-health/info-2020/music-brain-health.html?intcmp=AE-HEA-BRH-BB-ART

I have not tried this recipe personally – yet.  I think I’ll see if the young cooks at “Delicious Deals” can create this dish (another reference to my 19 June email, again, just ask if you want it sent out to you):  https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a54681/easy-seafood-gumbo-recipe/

Please remember that we are “here” and available for you.  If you have any questions or concerns, financial or otherwise, please do not hesitate to call or email.  If you have friends, family, or neighbors you feel would benefit from a conversation with me, I’m more than happy to have a call or jump on a Zoom meeting with them.

As always, I hope that you are doing well, and staying safe & healthy!
